Repository

Definition: Repositories are data storage resources where data are protected, classified according to captured metadata, and processed.

What This Means: As used in DataSpecs, once data have been received in a collection, these data are typically stored in one or more databases. The most common database structure is a relational database. The storage locations are called Repositories. These data repositories are structured as data tables that consist of strictly defined fields or columns.
